Do Your Best In Everything

As Holy Week approaches, we reflect on Christ's sacrifice for us and consider how best we can be a good steward with all God has blessed us.  In Colossians 3:23, the Bible says "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."  We are encouraged to do our best in everything... in all aspects of our lives.

Remain Strong and Follow Through

The first two months of 2015 have passed, so let’s talk New Year’s Resolutions.  Still going strong?  Great!  Not off to a quick start?  That’s ok… It’s how your Finish that counts!  Thanks to Sharon Jaynes’ post on Zondervan’s Bible Gateway for the following Bible Verse: 2nd Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (NIV).

One of the most important keys to being successful is: Following Through.  Whether you’re swinging a Golf Club or completing your Goal of reading the entire Bible, your Follow Through matters!  It’s also important to Stay Positive.  True Champions don’t focus on their failures… they Learn and remain determined in achieving their goal. Thanks to BrainyQuote for this inspirational thought from American Athlete Floyd Mayweather, Jr.: “A true champion can adapt to anything.”

Jesus Christ came to set us Free. Now it’s up to us how we live our lives each day. Read what Paul said about his decision to finish well in his letter to the Church of Philippi: “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward [reaching forward] what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14).
